Parco Museum, Shibuya, 2020
Logo design, Identity design, Illustration, Animation,
Type design
For a museum that aims to transport their audience to a different dimension, this conceptual branding system consolidates this notion through utilising other-worldy imagery to create a fictional branding narrative. Japanese folklore and ancient tales of the samurai acted as heavy inspiration for such imagery, as it evokes senses of familiarity whilst still lying in the realm of the mystic unknown.
A bespoke typeface was created to support the illustrative branding language, but acts as a nod to traditional samurai armour and plating.
Supervised by Narelle Desmond and Marion Schaberl
